These coins are produced by the U.S. Mint and are backed by the government of the United States. Silver Eagles were first minted in 1986 after the approval of the Liberty Coin Act on July 9, 1985. Burnished American Silver Eagles are only minted at the West Point branch of the U.S. Mint. The coin has a perfect grade of SP 70 by PCGS.
